Established in 1898, the Conklin Pen Company is regarded as one of the most significant and innovative American writing instrument manufacturers from the golden era of fountain pens.
Today's Conklin pens are based on the original designs of earlier models and are hand manufactured by artisans dedicated to producing luxury writing instruments, worthy of their legendary name, and with the greatest attention to detail, quality and craftsmanship.
Unlike many other manufacturers who have dropped any alternatives to cartridge/converter fillers, Conklin are still producing the Crescent Filler pens that made them famous. Conklin pens have a rich history and were endorsed by Mark Twain, the Conklin Crescent Filler was considered to be one of the first truly practical self-filling mechanisms for a fountain pen. It allowed the pen to be filled with one hand, and, as Mark Twain noted, made sure the pen couldn't roll off the desk.
