About Parker Duofold 130th Anniversary Limited Edition Fountain Pen - The Craft of Travelling
The Parker Duofold has been a symbol of excellence since 1921 and still remains the most distinguished pen in Parker's discerning lineage. Driven by a commitment to superior craftsmanship, every detail of the Duofold is carefully thought out and executed.
Elegance, craftsmanship, intelligence and vision collide to mark the 130th anniversary of the Parker Pen Company. What began in 1888 as George S Parker's simple mantra of striving to make a better and more inspirational pen is today celebrated with the limited edition release of 1,300 unique Duofold masterpieces. Each one pays tribute to its founder's relentless curiosity and commitment to the craft of writing.
Each of the 22 hand-assembled components that make up this fabulous Duofold have been supremely orchestrated to make it nothing less than extraordinary. Inspired by an ornate world map and George S Parker's global travel, the intricate gold pattern that adorns the pen's body represents his exploration of Asia, Latin America and Europe.
The pen itself features a gold plated cap engraved with a pattern inspired by a diagram of the globe viewed from the Poles, the top of which is embedded with a 2ct Lapis Lazuli stone, deep blue like the oceans George Parker navigated on his expeditions. The barrel has a golden map engraved into deep blue lacquer and the signature of George Parker whilst the solid 18ct bi-colour gold nib features a compass eluding to the science of navigation and the steamships George used while travelling the world.
Presented in a luxurious gift box inspired by vintage luggage, a brochure presenting the Duofold limited edition pen is concealed in a compartment along with an authenticity certificate signed by Geoffrey S Parker, George's great grandson, a bottle of black ink, cartridges and other exclusive touches make the Duofold Craft of Travelling pen a limited edition not to miss.
Includes a free copy of the Parker Duofold book which details the history of this iconic pen.
